Brief
Javier Pérez Soler holds a PhD computer science Engineering degree from the University Jaume I (UJI) of Castellón since 2017 as well as a master degree in intelligence systems since 2012 also from University Jaume I.
Due to his research work, Javier has achieved 9 publications in high impact journals, 1 book chapter and more than 15 articles in important international conferences. Moreover, he is coauthor in 2 european patents. Through his research career he has worked in multiple european financed projects and spanish government funded projects.
He has more than 6 years of research experience in underwater robotics as part of the interactive and robotic systems laboratory (IRSLab) at the UJI, and as a visitor in the marine Australian Centre for Field Robotics (ACFR) at the university of Sydney. In this period he was in charge of developing computer vision, deep learning, 3D simulations and benchmarking solutions for autonomous underwater robots.
Since 2017 he works as a software engineer in the research and development services department of the technological institute of Valencia (ITI), developing 3D modelling and reconstruction techniques to enhance quality assurance processes. Nowadays his research is focused on artificial intelligence techniques applied to anomaly detection in manufactured products.
