Summary
Fitoptivis (smart IntegraTion and OPtimization Technologies for highly efficient Image and VIdeo processing Systems) es un proyecto Europeo de investigación que pretende desarrollar un enfoque integral para la integración inteligente de pipelines de procesamiento de imágenes y video para sistemas ciber-físicos, también conocidos por sus siglas en inglés CPS (Cyber-Physical Systems).
Description
Cyber-physical systems have increasingly become autonomous integrations of electronic systems, subcomponents, and software, closely interacting with physical systems and their environment.
Some of these systems are intelligent in themselves, leading to a demand for new design approaches and methodologies to address this new class of computing systems.
The objectives are:
- Develop a reference architecture that can describe, from the cloud to the front line, the various networks of heterogeneous devices that together carry out image processing in a CPS (Cyber-Physical System).
- Research intelligent, low-power, high-performance image processing devices capable of integrating into the reference architecture.
- Investigate methods and tools to enable the various devices that form a CPS to optimize their operation on the fly based on multiple objectives (energy consumption, data volume to process, quality of results, etc.).
